Lumix flash illuminators presented in Traffic Technology International... Jan-2012

Lumix's technology is one of the guest of the "technology profile" section of January 2012 issue of Traffic Technology International (TTi), one of the major publication in the ITS world.

New website section dedicated to traffic control

Further to Lumix's exhibitions at Intertraffic, the requests for specific flashes and splitting filters for traffic control have risen. Lumix opens a section of its website dedicated to these items, with datasheets, price grids, and samples of pictures taken with Lumix's technology.

The devices on show were test production samples, aimed at collecting the impressions of their future users. Although they are simply a transposition to traffic control of well established Lumix technologies, they received the enthusiastic welcome of a world novelty.

The customers' wishes leads Lumix to the following decisions:

• Capability of fast sequences of flashes: maintained, 100% successful.
  
• Low electrical consumption, maintained: 100% successful.
• Temperature range -20° + 60°C: confirmed, 95% of all requirements.
• IR emission above 760 nm: maintained, 57% of all requirements.
• Visible emission, without colour correction: maintained, 40% of all requirements.
  
• IR emission above 790 nm: considered, 3% of all requirements.
  
• 12 Volts supply: maintained, 70% of all requirements.
• Mains supply: postponed, 30% of all requirements (2).
  
• Waterproof and vandalproof case: postponed, 5% of all requirements.
• Supply in a standard case: confirmed,

Supply of test items FR20, without any standard compliance: May 2009.
Supply of test items FR50, without any standard compliance: May 2009.

The FR flashes are specially designed for traffic control systems. During the Milipol fair, Lumix has introduced these flashes to the major protagonists of the fight against road infrigements.
